President & Co-Founder

Hey I'm Alok, also known as Dr. K, and I'm President and co-founder of Healthy Gamer. My personal mental health experiences and gaming addiction nearly forced me to drop out of college; however, having overcome these hurdles to become faculty at Harvard Medical School, I've now dedicated my time to creating Healthy Gamer in order to deliver mental health services to help the internet generation take control of their IRL. I stream over at healthygamer_gg on Twitch.

Hi! I’m a startup veteran with a track record of building high-growth media companies and high-impact social enterprises. My specialties include working with niche audiences, emerging digital trends, and digital health. I’m passionate about creating healthcare solutions that put people first. I’m so lucky to lead an incredible team on a mission to redefine mental health.

Chief of Staff

Hey, I am the Chief of Staff for HG. I am a total spreadsheet nerd, and its pretty cool that I get to use my technology and operations background to serve the internet generation in the mental wellness space. I love bringing technology and services to market and optimizing team resources to best serve our clients. I have always considered myself a coach, and I am enjoying coaching the coaches! Product Manager

Hey there! I work on product planning and execution for a lot of projects going on at Healthy Gamer, including managing the engineering design and dev teams. I got involved with Healthy Gamer after recovering from my own bout with gaming addiction (read as: I slid into Alok’s reddit DMs), but really appreciate working somewhere that I feel is doing something impactful. In my free time, I really enjoy playing (MMO)RPGs and traveling for food :)

Strategic Partnerships Manager

Hello, I'm Hannah, and I'm the driving force behind forging meaningful relationships as the Strategic Partnerships Manager at Healthy Gamer. My passion lies in crafting our competitive value proposition for partners, ensuring it resonates with the core of what we stand for. My expertise centers around defining the ideal partnerships and executing strategic plans that align Healthy Gamer with our partners' goals and objectives. From cultivating collaborative partnerships across various industries, including brand, gaming, medical, and mental health, to executing partnership programs, I am committed to creating successful alliances that leave a lasting impact. With a data-driven approach and a keen eye for detail, I ensure the growth and prosperity of our partnerships, turning our vision of a healthier world into a tangible reality.

Community Manager

I’m Kabir, Community Manager at HG. My role includes developing our Discord and reddit communities to create an environment where people can come for growth, connection and support. Working at HG has been super fulfilling, and I am grateful for being exposed to such valuable and diverse perspectives that have allowed me to grow as a person.

Research Manager

I’m Healthy Gamer’s Igor, a small strange man that helps the Doctor experiment on the monster he’s created. I manage Healthy Gamer's research programs. I have a background in medical outcomes research. I am very passionate about finding innovative ways to promote health and science literacy and am very happy to be working to improve our generation's understanding of mental health and wellness.

Product Marketing Manager

Hi, I’m Josmary! I’m a grad student who’s passionate about helping people, and the Product Marketing Manager at HG. I had just started my meditation journey when I first came across HG, and it felt like the stars aligned. I’m grateful I get to work around such talented people at a place that’s making a positive impact. I love all things art, tech, and anime.

Front-End Developer

Hi everyone! I’m the Frontend Dev at at HG and I mainly work on the coaching platform. With the help of the other devs and our super talented designer, we pushed out Dr. K’s Guide to Mental Health, the meditation index, and a ton of other features scattered throughout the platform. I’ve been here for a little over a year now and I’m really excited to release more awesome stuff! Before HG, I used to make websites for large alcohol brands such as Ciroc, Johnnie Walker, and Smirnoff. In my spare time I like to game, lift, listen to music (my library is like that meme where you put all your songs on shuffle), cooking, and make amateur content.

Human Resource Administrator

Hi, my name is Syaidah (pronounced Sigh-ee-duh). I am the HR administrator. Some of the areas I cover are to help recruit and onboard new hires, help to explain policies and procedures, explain benefits and champion employee and coach engagement for Healthy Gamer. I love music, all things fiber related, reading, traveling and making memories with my family. I enjoy working for a company that has a focus on improving mental health and promotes a work/life balance.

Senior Web Designer

Hey, I'm Tristan, Senior Web Designer at Healthy Gamer where I work on the UI and UX of our marketing site and coaching platform. Working at Healthy Gamer combines all the things I love — design, video games and mental health. I'm happy to be apart of a passionate team where we all share the same purpose of helping others and improving the mental health of our generation. After work you can find me playing Overwatch with my Discord group, at the dog park with my pup, exploring Austin, or becoming one with my couch.

Back-End Developer

Hey, ya'll! I initially joined Healthy Gamer as a community lead on Discord in 2021, running events in the tech and career communities. HG was looking for a backend dev while I was in the process of leaving my previous role, and I immediately jumped at the opportunity to join full-time. I work on features for the coaching platform and the guide while doing my best not to break the front-end side too often. My previous experience is working primarily on Microsoft technology, including several years on the Azure Community team. When I'm not spending time with my dogs, Rikku and Lulu, or my plants, I'm deep into some craft project or the latest indie colony sim.

Content Manager

Hey I'm Zachary, the Content Manager at HG. My role is all about elevating our YouTube presence, which involves working closely with Dr. K and our dynamic team of editors and artists. I'm passionate about storytelling and love finding innovative ways to engage our audience. I’m always thinking about how we can make the next video our best one. When I'm not deep in content creation, you might find me exploring the latest tech trends or enjoying a good book. Proud to be part of a team that's shaping the conversation around mental health and gaming!

Customer Service Manager

Hi, I am Michael the Customer Service Manager at HG. I am a business professional with a long history of Customer Service, Sales, and Account Management. My focus is on the intersection between providing the best outcome for the clients’ needs and balancing the needs of the business. Delivering client trends and feedback to decision makers to improve products and services is something I am passionate about. After years of work in retail and sales, HG offered me a position that utilizes my skills while doing work that is meaningful to peoples lives. Outside work, I am a husband and a father. I am a huge gamer, lover of anime, Taylor Swift fan, sci-fi & fantasy enthusiast, and provider of well packed lunches.
